Oral Cancer Screening

Cancer can affect any part of the oral cavity, including the lips, tongue, mouth and throat. The most common symptoms are a sore in the mouth that bleeds easily and does not heal or pain in the mouth that does not go away.

Most oral cancers can be prevented by avoiding risk factors such as tobacco and alcohol use. During a regular check-up or as part of your comprehensive oral examination, we have the opportunity to see abnormal tissue changes and detect cancer at an early stage. Oral cancer is one of the most curable diseases when it's caught early.
